Vinyasa yoga is a yoga method that integrates various practices of the Hatha yoga. The focus in the vinyasa practice flow is coordination between breathing and movement. The literal meaning of the word Vinyasa is the linking of body movement with breath.

The Vinyasa class can be very similar to the Ashtanga in its dynamic movement and flow or to the Iyengar which works more on alignment and staying within the pose. Each class is set by the teacher and each teacher brings their main interest, influences and current investigation.
